At 56 years old, Wyclef Jean released Clef Notes: Quantum Leap, Vol. 1 on June 26, 2026 through Carnival House. 8 tracks. 34 minutes. The first chapter of an ambitious seven-album series called Quantum Leap, in which Wyclef plans to explore seven different musical worlds across the project.

The concept is literal: quantum leaps through the timeline of his own life.
That structure is what makes Clef Notes more than a comeback. It is an autobiography told through beats.
30 Years After The Score
The timing is deliberate. 2026 marks 30 years since The Score, the Fugees album that sold over 22 million copies worldwide and placed Wyclef Jean, Lauryn Hill, and Pras Michel at the center of hip-hop history.
In 2026, Wyclef and Lauryn Hill have been performing together again. They appeared at the Grammy Awards, SNL50, KOKO London, and Global Citizen Live in Rio de Janeiro. The Fugees reunion is not a nostalgia tour. It is happening in the same year Wyclef launches his most ambitious solo project.
Meanwhile, Wyclef’s influence continues to move through newer generations. G Herbo‘s hit “Emergency” samples Wyclef’s “911” from The Ecleftic (2000). Herbo is also featured on Clef Notes.
