Roots in Curaçao. Recorded in Medellín. Mixed in Rotterdam.

84 BPM. No rush. No agenda. A couple of days in Medellín and a song that sounds exactly like that.

Adje is one of the defining figures of Dutch street rap. Born Julmar Simons on October 2, 1982 in Amsterdam, raised in the Bijlmermeer neighborhood, with roots in Curaçao and Suriname. He is the half-brother of fellow Dutch rappers Hef and Crooks. His catalog includes a number one hit (“Coño”), two Top 10 singles, five Top 20 entries, and 19 Top 100 hits across nearly two decades in the Dutch scene. He won the State Award in 2009 and released his debut album Vossig through Sony Music in 2013. On Spotify, he carries over 833,000 monthly listeners.

How This Session Happened

HIPHOPADELLIC organized a music camp in Envigado, Colombia. RatalBeats, a producer from Rotterdam, brought Adje into the session. They linked up, got in the studio, and recorded. Over 10 songs came out of that camp.

“Couple Of Dayz” is one of them. Released on July 10, 2026.

The track was produced by RatalBeats in Medellín and mixed in Rotterdam. The geography tells the story: an artist with Caribbean and Surinamese roots, raised in Amsterdam, recording in Colombia, produced by a Rotterdam beatmaker, released through a platform based in Switzerland. That is HIPHOPADELLIC’s network in one song.

What “Couple Of Dayz” Sounds Like

At 84 BPM, the track sits in a space that does not chase energy. It lets the atmosphere build on its own. Good sun, good company, and the rap life in Medellín. “Couple Of Dayz” sounds exactly like what it was. Some days you just have to be there.

HIPHOPADELLIC Take

This is what happens when the network connects. No label meetings. No marketing plan. A camp in Colombia, a producer from the Netherlands, and one of Dutch rap’s most consistent voices. The song exists because the session happened.
