Two NYC Legends, One Microphone, Twice a Week

Fat Joe and Jadakiss launched Joe & Jada on May 8, 2025. In just over a year, the show has passed 100 episodes, secured a Netflix distribution deal, and become one of the most consistent hip-hop podcasts in the game.

The show airs twice a week, with episodes running approximately 59 minutes each. It is produced by The Volume and Roc Nation, distributed through iHeartMedia, and recorded in New York City. The format covers music, sports, entertainment, and pop culture.

That structure alone tells you something about the approach. Joe & Jada is not a casual weekly check-in. It is a consistent, high-volume operation backed by two of the biggest infrastructure names in media.

Why Joe and Jada Work Together

The chemistry between Fat Joe and Jadakiss comes from decades of shared history in New York rap.

Fat Joe (Joseph Antonio Cartagena, born August 19, 1970) came up in the Bronx and built Terror Squad into one of New York’s defining crews. His catalog runs from the early 1990s through hits like “Lean Back” (2004, #1 Billboard Hot 100) and “All The Way Up” (2016, Grammy-nominated). He is also known as one of hip-hop’s best storytellers and connectors, someone who has maintained relationships across every era and every coast.

Jadakiss (Jason Terrance Phillips, born May 27, 1975) grew up in Yonkers and came up as one-third of The LOX alongside Styles P and Sheek Louch. Originally signed to Bad Boy Records, The LOX fought to move to Ruff Ryders / D-Block to maintain creative control. Jadakiss is widely regarded as one of the best freestyle MCs alive. His solo track “Why?” (2004) remains one of the most quoted songs in hip-hop history.

Both are Bronx and Westchester County natives. Both came up in the 1990s New York scene. Both carry deep industry relationships.

The Guest List Tells the Story

The caliber of guests reflects the hosts’ combined network. Over the first year, Joe & Jada has welcomed:

Rappers and producers: Cardi B, Ghostface Killah, Raekwon, Conway the Machine, Benny the Butcher, Styles P, The Alchemist, Hit-Boy, DJ Khaled

Artists and entertainers: Teyana Taylor, Ciara

Athletes: Allen Iverson

That guest list is not a random collection of celebrity bookings. It reflects real relationships. Ghostface and Raekwon are Wu-Tang, and both Joe and Jada go back decades with the Clan. Styles P is Jada’s LOX brother. Conway and Benny represent the current era of street rap that carries the same energy Joe and Jada built their careers on. The Alchemist and Hit-Boy are the producers who shaped the sound of both eras. Fat Joe has also stated publicly that 50 Cent will appear as a future guest after years of resolving their long-standing beef.

The Netflix Deal, in Context

In December 2025, iHeartMedia and Netflix announced an exclusive video podcast partnership covering more than 14 podcasts. Joe & Jada was part of that deal alongside The Breakfast Club, My Favorite Murder, Dear Chelsea (Chelsea Handler), and others.

The video version of Joe & Jada launched on Netflix on January 26, 2026, moving the visual format from YouTube to Netflix exclusively in the United States.

This was not an individual deal for Joe & Jada alone. It was part of a larger move by Netflix into the video podcast space. But the fact that Joe & Jada was included in a lineup alongside The Breakfast Club says something about how fast the show established itself. The Breakfast Club has been running for over a decade. Joe & Jada reached that tier in less than a year.

HIPHOPADELLIC Take

The podcast game in hip-hop is crowded. Drink Champs, Million Dollaz Worth of Game, Brilliant Idiots, The Breakfast Club. Getting into that conversation takes more than a name. It takes consistency, chemistry, and access.

Fat Joe and Jadakiss brought all three. 100+ episodes in a year. Two per week. Produced by Roc Nation and The Volume. A Netflix deal inside the first eight months. And a guest list that reads like a Hall of Fame ballot.

What Joe & Jada proves is that the relationships built over 30 years in the culture convert directly into media value. Every guest on that show is someone Joe or Jada knows personally. That is not something you can manufacture.

One Love. One Family. One Culture.
