A PROJECT CREATED BY NIPSEY, NOT BUILT AFTER HIS DEATH

On August 14, Nipsey Hussle and Bino Rideaux will release PROLIFIC, a 15 track collaborative album that brings a body of work created by the two artists years ago to the public. The official store, Spotify and Apple Music all confirm the 15 track format and August 14 release date.

The project was recorded around 2017, following the success of Nipsey’s Victory Lap, and has been described by his team as a project Nipsey and Bino created together from the ground up. This distinction matters when talking about posthumous music. PROLIFIC is not a collection of unrelated recordings assembled after his passing.

NIPSEY’S VISION, PRESERVED

Nipsey’s brother, Samiel “Blacc Sam” Asghedom, has been closely involved in protecting his brother’s artistic legacy.

For PROLIFIC, Blacc Sam made the position of the family and team clear. He said the project is being released in the way Nipsey envisioned it and described it as the body of work Nipsey created with Bino from top to bottom. He also emphasized that it was not something the team simply compiled after his death.

That context gives this release a different weight.

Nipsey’s catalog has been handled selectively since his passing. PROLIFIC now arrives as a project that had already been built around a specific creative relationship, rather than an attempt to create a new Nipsey album from unrelated material.

NIPSEY & BINO HAD HISTORY

This collaboration did not come out of nowhere.

Nipsey and Bino had already released music together, including their 2017 project “No Pressure”. Their chemistry developed through repeated studio sessions, with Bino describing how much he learned from Nipsey during the process. Blacc Sam has also described their creative relationship as a natural back and forth, with ideas and hooks from Bino inspiring Nipsey’s verses and vice versa.

That chemistry is at the center of PROLIFIC.

THE FIRST CHAPTERS ARE ALREADY OUT

The rollout began with “Reckless,” produced by Mike & Keys and released in February.

The second single, “Sacrifices,” followed in June and features James Fauntleroy. Mike & Keys produced the record.

The official album tracklist currently identifies three additional features: Static Major on “Reckless,” James Fauntleroy on “Sacrifices,” and BH on “All Summer.” The remaining tracks have not been publicly identified on the official tracklist.

NEARLY A DECADE LATER

There is something unusual about the timing.

PROLIFIC was recorded years ago, but it is arriving in 2026, shortly before what would have been Nipsey’s 41st birthday on August 15.

For Bino Rideaux, the project also represents a continuation of the philosophy and creative direction he shared with Nipsey. The album is therefore connected to a chapter of their careers that existed long before today’s release cycle.

THE HIPHOPADELLIC PERSPECTIVE

For us, this release carries a personal meaning.

Nipsey Hussle has had a major influence on the HIPHOPADELLIC movement, from the way we look at independent artists and ownership to the way we understand collaboration, community and culture.

We have already preordered both the CD and vinyl because PROLIFIC is more than another posthumous release for us. It represents a piece of Nipsey’s creative history that was created with a clear purpose alongside Bino Rideaux.

With PROLIFIC, the people closest to the project are telling us that the reason was already there.

August 14.

Nipsey Hussle x Bino Rideaux.

PROLIFIC.

The Marathon Continues. 🏁
