A Viral Moment and a Debut Album. Both Are Real.
Fergie Baby is a rapper from Harlem, New York. In October 2026, his song “Uptown Shooters N’ Bronx Bombers” turned into one of TikTok’s most replicated trends, with thousands of people recreating his walk from a park in his neighborhood under the hashtag #fergiebabytrend. His debut album is called God Is From Harlem and it is coming via EMPIRE. Cam’ron is on it. A$AP Ferg. Dave East. Potentially Max B. That is two things happening at the same time: a viral moment and a debut album built around the deepest names in Harlem rap. Both are real.
Who Fergie Baby Is
Vincent Ferguson grew up in Harlem, New York. He earned a criminal justice degree. He got fired from three corporate jobs. He showed up at EMPIRE Records as an unpaid intern and, when the offices cleared out, started shooting music videos inside the building. The video for “Drive The Boat,” from his Harlem River Drive project, started moving online. EMPIRE signed him. Every project since has been a document of Harlem, released on his own terms. His mantra, which became the album title: “God is from Harlem. Harlem is Heaven.”
The Singles That Built 2026
In January 2026, Fergie Baby and A$AP Ferg released “Good Day to be in Harlem,” a tribute to Ice Cube’s “It Was A Good Day” rebuilt as an East Coast celebration. The video, premiered January 30, recreated Art Kane‘s legendary 1958 photograph “A Great Day in Harlem,” which gathered 57 jazz musicians on a Harlem brownstone stoop for Esquire magazine. Fergie Baby and Ferg remade that image with hip hop. In April, he released “Harlem River Drive” with Cam’ron, connecting him directly to the Diplomats era. In July, “Many Men.” In September, the viral walk. The catalog is moving fast and all of it points to one address.
The Harlem Lineage
Cam’ron was born Cameron Ezike Giles on February 4, 1976, in Harlem. He began rapping alongside Big L, Mase, and his cousin Bloodshed in Children of the Corn in the early 1990s. He co-founded Diplomat Records and built Dipset into one of the most replicated aesthetics in New York rap history. A$AP Ferg was born October 20, 1988, also in Harlem. His father owned a boutique that printed shirts for Bad Boy Records and Uptown Records. Ferg became part of A$AP Mob and helped take its sound global. Big L was Lamont Coleman, born in Harlem on May 30, 1974, and killed there on February 15, 1999, at 24. He is considered one of the most technically gifted MCs in hip hop history. Fergie Baby has worked with all three. A bonus track titled “Put The Mic Down” featuring Big L and Party Arty connects his catalog to that lineage directly.
God Is From Harlem
The debut album God Is From Harlem is in progress via EMPIRE. On August 17, 2026, Fergie Baby hosted a listening event at Riverside Church in Harlem. Not a club. Not a venue. A church in the neighborhood, with family, collaborators, and media. Unreleased material was played including “Lennox Poppin’,” a track featuring a Chris Brown sample cleared by Empire. Confirmed features include Cam’ron, A$AP Ferg, Meek Bucks, R2R Moe, and Dave East. Max B is a possibility. A deluxe edition is planned after the main release. No official release date has been announced.
HIPHOPADELLIC Perspective
Fergie Baby made the walk video in one take in a Harlem park. A month later, the internet was using AI to put their own faces into that same walk. That is something that only works when the original is real enough that people want to be inside it. Harlem has been building its own cultural infrastructure for a hundred years, and every generation produces someone who understands that the neighborhood is the credential. Fergie Baby understands that. God Is From Harlem is not a concept. It is the address.
One Love. One Family. One Culture.
