When people talk about skills, mindset, and real emotion in German rap right now, one name keeps coming up more and more: Die P.
On Spotify, her sound is summed up in a line that fits perfectly: honest emotions and R’n’B vibes meet top-tier rap, uncompromising punchlines, and statements you can’t ignore.
Who Is Die P?
Die P (real name Patricia Pembele) is a German rapper, born in 1987 in Munich and raised in Bonn. She started writing early, gained battle and stage experience around the Cologne area, and released her first EP in 2017.
Her wider scene breakthrough came in 2019 with the single Alle Reden, followed by a deal with the label 365XX, where releases like 3,14 further established her as a serious lyrical force.
Sound & Positioning
Musically, Die P stands for classic boom bap energy without nostalgia traps: hard drums, clean flows, sharp lines — while still leaving room for soul and a subtle R’n’B feel.
That balance — technical rap skills paired with emotional depth — is one of the most frequently highlighted aspects in profiles and features about her, and it’s exactly what sets her apart in today’s German rap landscape.
“Magazin” — The New Chapter
With Magazin (2025), Die P marked her next major step. The album is more experimental, more personal, and razor-sharp in terms of rap technique.
In October 2025, the project was selected as Album of the Week by WDR Cosmo, underlining its relevance beyond the core rap audience.
Die P x MP Freshly — “Bring Da P” Vol. 2 & Vol. 3
Especially relevant for our audience: Die P and MP Freshly aren’t just peers — they’ve built a shared release universe with clear artistic chemistry.
Their collaboration albums include:
-
Bring Da P Vol. 2 (Release: 29.11.2024)
-
Bring Da P Vol. 3 (Release: 21.03.2025)
In addition, they’ve released several joint singles, including Es ist P! and Ba Da Bang — further strengthening their shared chapter in German rap.
Switzerland Shows — Keep an Eye on the Dates
Die P has already performed live in Basel (Kaschemme, 31.10.2025). For 2026, she has announced additional shows in Switzerland, including Bern (Sous-Soul) and Zurich (Dynamo).
Tickets and updates are available via Eventim and her official channels.
Why This Matters to HIPHOPADELLIC
At HIPHOPADELLIC, we don’t build stories around hype — we build them around real connections in the culture. Since we already produced a documentary about MP Freshly, it’s only logical to place Die P into proper context as well — especially because both artists have written a clear chapter together through Bring Da P Vol. 2, Vol. 3, and multiple singles.
At the same time, Die P is at a moment where it’s worth looking closer:
a new album, a strong presence, and upcoming shows with a Switzerland connection.
For us, that’s a signal to document background, personality, and musical direction early — not as promo, but as real documentary work with standards.
A future collaboration (a song) is something we can imagine, but the focus stays on story and context first.
